The Old Science Desk and Blackboard from Memphis

Our daughter uses her Memphis School blackboard alot! Needless to say these were extremely heavy to move. This particular blackboard came from Room 101.
Our son is posing next to his beautiful Oak science desk which we removed from Room 307, shortly before Memphis came down. This is a "before" shot as we are planning to restore it someday.

Back in 1971 or '72, our science teacher, Mr. Donald Sopka used this desk for his experiments. Before the demolition, this desk was the only fixture left standing at Memphis, possibly because it was bolted down to the floor. In the front of the desk just below the black-top are two electrical outlets which makes it easy for our son to plug his microscope into.

In our son's tank is his Bearded Dragon, Nefiteria. Click on this image to enlarge. Once this image is a second time to super enlarge.
