
Old "heavy" wooden swings. These hurt like heck if you didn't get out-of-the-way fast enough! Not like the rubber swings of today.

This porcelain doorway plate was installed somewhere around 1913 and was removed by Memphis' last "official" owners in 1995, after 82 years! Click on any image to see closer.

I found this school safety patrol badge in one of the janitor's closets in the school's basement shortly before the school was demolished. If I remember correctly, this badge was attached to a shawl that you wore over your shoulder and you were given a flag to wave at the street corner you were assigned to.
